This service came from a place of need for me, in my own life! I own a catering company, www.calgarycatering.com, and you would think that there was food at my home to feed my family! Well truth is strange, I just did not have the fortitude and desire to cook the minute I got home, but I also have three children that wanted to be fed and a husband who always seems to get home at the last minute. What should I do when I never know who is going to be home? Take out or drive- thru options are less than what I wanted to feed my family and you can only eat so many roasted chickens from the deli department before you have a mutiny on the home-front! What is a mom to do?
After lots of research and talking with friends and business clients I realized we all need quick meal solutions The catch is that we want healthy tasty ones! Every new menu will offer you many options for all taste buds, little and big. New recipe additions with seasonal flavours and lots of celebration options will be added each month, including weekday meals, ethnic dishes and celebration specials. Life will be better!

History
CookingforYou.ca operates from a commercial kitchen in Calgary, a division of Wonderful Ideas For Entertaining Inc., who also owns and operates VIP's Gourmet Catering, a Calgary establishment since 1981. Our first menu consists of 17 choices. Soon the menu will offers up to 50 choices monthly including desserts, appetizers and side dishes. The first in Calgary to home deliver prepared meals Cookingforyou.ca will be considered the market leader in gourmet healthy meals in Canada.
People
The owner, Shelly Coyle and our executive chef, Carolyn Ovens have been working together as a formidable team since 1999. Carolyn is a qualified SAIT graduate with her red seal designation, is responsible for recipe development, and works in consultation with our nutritionist. Carolyn has been our catering chef since 1981. Shelly Coyle and Cara Nicks, in the front office, keep the paper flowing and the customers happy! |

Our mission
We will do our best to provide the healthiest meals possible. While we want to eliminate some of the fat and calories from our meals where possible, we also do not want to neglect the enjoyment of good tasting food. Our continued efforts to provide a variety of dishes that will expand the palate of tastes for your family as well as including old faithful's that give a sense of home and tradition! We all know variety is the spice of life in all things good!
